Our Facilities
Both of our Hospitals are purpose built to provide the optimum environment for your pet to be treated in their time of need. Heated floors and air-conditioning are standard, ensuring patient comfort year round.
We have separate cat and dog wards to minimise stress to our patients. Patient visits are welcome during visiting hours (please call for a time).
At Nepean and Mountains Animal Hospitals we understand that reaching a diagnosis as quickly as possible has a big impact on the outcome for your pet. That is why we have invested in state of the art diagnostic equipment. Lasercyte blood counting equipment, biochemistry and blood gas testing are all available on site, avoiding lengthy delays between presentation and test results. Highly accurate blood pressure testing and video endoscopy is also available.
Have you ever taken a blurry picture with your camera? That's why we have invested in the latest x-ray machine and developer. Clear, high resolution x-rays are critical to accurate diagnosis. We also employ the services of one of Australia's best veterinary radiologists to review our x-rays and perform our ultrasounds.
Of course, diagnosis is only one step in the process. The next stage is treatment. Both hospitals have the latest medications and treatment equipment. This includes new infusion pumps, modern anaesthesia equipment, drugs and techniques, heart and respiration rate monitors, blood oxygen level monitors, 24 hour online access to specialist veterinarians around the world, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical equipment as well as the necessary skills to carry out complex fracture repairs. All our patients receive pain relief during and after any surgical or invasive procedure. We also have the ability to provide around the clock pain relief if required, which means that your pet does not have to suffer in silence during the night.
