After Hours Emergencies
If you require after hours veterinary assistance for a genuine emergency either:
- Call our after hours vet directly on M: 0418 383 815;
- Call the Hospital on 4733 3456 (Nepean Animal Hospital) or 47 39 4011 (Mountains Animal Hospital) and wait for your call to be diverted to our after hours vet.
We pride ourselves on providing the best and most reliable after hours service in the Greater Western region. We provide this service to ALL clients, whether or not they have previously visited our Hospitals.
After hours emergency treatment and advice is mostly provided by our most experienced Veterinarian and practice owner, Dr. Tony Karolis. Dr. Karolis lives close to both Hospitals and can usually meet you at either Hospital within 10-15 minutes of receiving your emergency call. However, occasionally Dr. Karolis may be in transit between the Hospital and his home, and may be unable to be contacted for a short period of time. Whilst this is rare, if this does happen to you, please leave your name and contact number on his mobile phone and he will usually be able to return your call within 5 minutes of receiving it.

Appointment System
Where possible, we try to arrange all consultations by prior appointment. However, all clients and their pets will be seen whether or not they have made a prior appointment. Emergencies always take priority, so sometimes, despite our best efforts, we can run behind schedule. If we are running behind, we will always try to give you an idea of how long the delay will be, and if possible, we will try to ring you before you leave home to rearrange your appointment. If you have a tight schedule, please tell the receptionist so that we can do everything possible to fit in with your timetable.
